On Saturday, I brought four ice cream flavors to sell at the North Liberty Community Market at 5th & I St., NW in Washington, DC. It's a new market that is still developing its foot traffic customer base. Still, within a few hours, I sold out of two of the four flavors.
Blueberry Orange and Chocolate-Covered Pretzel Peanut Butter Swirl were the first to go. (The latter was nicknamed "ChocPrez" by ice cream apprentices Laura and Toni, and was later dubbed "CocoPrez" by the granola vendors next to me.)
I couldn't have done any of this without good friends who helped me in a pinch. Some came to help me with signs and with the morning set up.
Others helped design and execute the packaging.
Many came to keep me company through the day. Some even lent me some freezer space so I could prepare for Saturday.
All are greatly appreciated! Thank you, friends!
