Grapefruit Elderflower

Or St. Germain Pamplemousse, as the French would say. One could even say it has a je ne sais quoi. Elderflower liquour is a fantastic addition to champagne cocktails. (If you have candied kumquats lying around, those are great in cocktails, too.)

Using fresh grapefruits to flavor ice cream lends a bite to the tasting experience. The hint of bitterness is like the morning chill of winter that hangs on to spring mornings. (Luckily, there's nothing like a cocktail or some ice cream to remind you that summer is around the corner.)
