Roasted Pineapple with Brown Butter

I love eating fresh pineapples. My mother taught me to slice pineapples like she did growing up in Hawaii. I had always eaten them fresh until I recently went to a barbecue and tried grilled pineapples. With a light dusting of cinnamon and a light crunchy crust, the fire revealed to me a new side of pineapples.

Although the ice cream was obviously cold, you could taste in it the warmth of freshly baked pie. It is a truly unique flavor.
